E-Novation was founded in 2002 in Sydney, Australia. Before the term ‘Corporate Performance Management’ became popular it was evident that in order to improve business performance, agile measurement and reporting were essential, and that the Internet was an ideal platform to achieve this outcome.

In 2002 general confidence in the Internet was still low. By and large, organisations realised the benefits of a shared utility infrastructure with global reach, however broad adoption was lacking.  Financial services institutions spearheaded the commercial use of the Internet to optimise the management of banking transactions via self-service. Governments followed suit (with mixed results), and the broader business community started to adopt ‘on-demand’ in areas considered ‘non-core’ to their operations.  

E-Novation finalised the first phase of development of its Business / Corporate Performance Management solution at the end of 2005 (please click here to view more public information about this type of solution). The adoption of on-demand solutions (also called 'Software as a Service' or simply 'SaaS') since then was nothing short of remarkable. Most businesses are reaping significant benefits adopting on-demand services, with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) being the most common on-demand solution in use today.
